Viña Amézola 2018

We offer you our best known wine, our Viña Amézola Crianza 2019, in an incredible format. It is a 3-litre Jeroboam bottle that impresses with its large format. It also comes hand-sealed by hand in a traditional way.

Format: 3 litres.

Vintage: 2018 a colder vintage than usual which resulted in lighter wines with a lot of fruit and very velvety traits.

Varietals: We select our grapes by parcels; 85% Tempranillo from Viña Vieja de Arriba, Viña Vieja de Abajo, Arenillas and Pajarcillos, 10% Mazuelo from Faisanes, and 5% Graciano from Barbarroja.

Winemaking: This wine has a long maceration of 21 days in tank. It is then aged in French (40%) and American (60%) oak barrels for 15 months. The rest in bottle.

Tasting notes: Bright red colour. Fine and elegant nose with notes of blackberry jam and red fruits of the forest together with well-assembled oak. Good fruit expression, balanced, ample and persistent. Long acidity and aftertaste.

Pairing: Scrambled eggs, roasts, white meats.
